DESCRIPTION
The RICE-TMS merit scholarship program awarded its first scholarships for freshmen entering in the Fall 2001.
Selected scholars will receive a $10,000 merit based stipend awarded in annual $2,500 increments at the beginning of their freshman, sophmore, junior and senior years by maintaining full time status and a 2.80 grade point average for each of their class years.
The awards will be additive and not substitutional for any other scholarships, grants, loans or financial aid which a recipeint receives from Rice University or any other source except when this scholarship combined with all other aid exceeds the cost of education set by Rice Universtiy. In some cases state or federal regulations may influence the administration of this scholarship
Also, the RICE-TMS
program has announced the introduction of another project. Beginning
in the fall
2002,
RICE-TMS will be offering the new "Jesse H. Jones Graduate School
of Management" Merit Fellowship award.
